An AI agent is a non-human identity that logs in and acts at machine speed. It holds credentials, calls tools, and can be steered by its inputs, so it should be treated as an actor in your systems, not a feature.
Because it acts, an agent needs the same governance a new employee would get, and more: its own scoped identity, permissions limited to the job, a human approval step on high-consequence actions, and a log of everything it did.
